Qaanaaq
The Qaanaaq series made by WATER FIELD KAYAKS was developed based on the traditional kayak in Greenland. It has over 20 years of development history. User feedback also contributes there. Yes, Qaanaaq series is loved by many kayakers. And now some Qaanaaq are in their fifth generation. The bottom reproduces the shape of the fabric under water pressure. And chines are made up of "faces" like skin kayaks. This is the commitment of Mr. Mizuno, the president of WFK. He is first-rate as a developer and as a paddler, both. And he has tried all kinds of kayaks. I am impressed by his insatiable pursuit. In the roll classes of STORM ON, this Qaanaaq series is used. Please experience it when you come to Japan.

Qaanaaq Mosquito
Length : 4800mm / Width : 500mm / Weight : 13kg - 14.5kg
Mosquito was developed based on the early Qaanaaq480. This name is given because the tip is as thin as a mosquito. I think it is suitable for petite people and women. A kayak with high performance in rolls and a fun practice. However, since the volume is small, if you participate in the official roll competition with this, you may be out of regulation, so be careful.
Qaanaaq 512(SS)
Length : 5120mm / Width : 500mm / Weight : 14kg - 15.5kg
This is the most balanced kayak in the Qaanaaq series. Since there is more volume than Mosquito, day touring is also possible. "SS" is a specification that lowers the volume (decreases the thickness of the deck) even more than the normal 512. Personally, 512SS is the best compatible, and even if the generation changes, I have selected 512SS.
Qaanaaq TransAM(SS)
Length : 5470mm / Width : 490mm / Weight : 15kg - 16.5kg
TransAM is suitable for large people and kayakers who want to enjoy touring! Actually, the length is different between TransAM and TransAM-SS. SS is as described, but TransAM is slightly longer at 5550mm. "5" is pronounced "GO" in Japanese. In other words, GoGoGo! hahaha.
Qaanaaq Sabine
Length : 5310mm / Width : 510mm / Weight : 16.5kg
Sabine may be a little extra. This was developed by Mr. Mizuno for European and American specifications. Not long ago, it was produced by a Spanish manufacturer. Please contact "Nordes Kayak" if you are interested. As you can see from the size, it is positioned between 512 and Transam. The volume of the bow deck is slightly larger.

Division Type
Qaanaaq series also supports division type. You can choose "3 pieces" or "5 pieces". In the past, I have seen the "3 pieces" in other kayaks. But what about "5 pieces"? You will surely never see it on a kayak other than WFK. The overall weight is slightly increased due to the strengthening of the joints. Most of the past order cases I received were from overseas. They came directly to Japan for purchase or sent by air. The mobility of the division type is very high.I think Mr. Mizuno's talent for designing such a kayak is wonderful.
Please contact STORM ON if you are interested in this specification. I will be able to provide you with information on processing costs and shipping costs.
